XSYS, a leading global supplier of prepress solutions, will showcase its expertise in plates, platemaking, sleeves, and adapters for tags and labels at Labelexpo Europe 2025, held from 16 to 19 September in Barcelona, Spain. The company will present its latest technologies for flexo printing, including the MacDermid product range, which became part of XSYS’ offering following the acquisition of MacDermid Graphics Solutions earlier this year.

Printing plates for tag and label applications will be showcased, with the nyloflex® XSN Digital and nyloflex® LUX ITP 60 taking center stage on Booth 4D24. Equipment highlights will demonstrate XSYS industry-leading technologies, exemplified by a semi-automated ThermoFlexX Catena-BE 48 and a LAVA® 4260 Thermal Plate Processing systems.

PLATES: Engineered for brilliance, speed, and versatility, nyloflex® XSN Digital delivers durable, high-quality prints across all ink types: UV, EB, water- or solvent-based. It features CleanRelease Technology ensuring longer, cleaner print runs and a reduction in press downtime, leading to higher productivity. The compatibility with both thermal and solvent workflows makes this plate a smart and efficient choice for narrow web printing. Another go-to plate for tag and label applications is the nyloflex® LUX ITP 60, a game-changing technology that provides all the benefits of flat-top dots, but with the convenience of receiving them already built into the plate.
EQUIPMENT: ThermoFlexX Catena-BE 48 automates the plate transfer between imaging and exposure by connecting a ThermoFlexX TFxX 48 imager with a Catena-E 48 LED exposure unit via the Catena-B bridge. Another brilliant combination, this seamless integration facilitates a more efficient workflow, minimizes operator errors and reduces waste. For converters choosing the thermal route, the LAVA® 4260 Thermal Plate Processing System eliminates solvents and VOCs from the process, offering another sustainable option for label printers. By also improving productivity and workflow, it can generate press-ready plates in less than an hour.
SLEEVES & ADAPTERS: Key products and upgrades from the rotec® range of sleeves and adapters will also feature prominently. Specifically, a demo station will help explain the benefits of incorporating a rotec® Eco Xtra Ring to adapters. Its patented air distribution system allows for significantly easier and faster mounting of sleeves but requires up to 90% less compressed air compared to standard adapters. Additionally, the ring’s design reduces wear for an extended adapter lifetime.
NEW: An area of the booth will be dedicated to the introduction of a brand-new laser imager. A display shell of the equipment will be presented, accompanied by a video offering initial insights into this breakthrough innovation.
Finally, reaffirming its dedication to driving innovation through collaboration, XSYS will display four print samples developed in partnership with leading industry suppliers reproflex, Rotometal, tesa, FlintGroup, Synthogra and Nilpeter, and printing companies Vista Labels (UK) and Grafpol (Poland). The results will demonstrate the wide range of applications that can be addressed effectively with nyloflex® XSN and nyloflex® ITP 60 flexo plates. The samples – including flexible packaging for chips and chocolate bags, peel & reveal beer can labels, and bottle labels for window cleaner – will offer visitors the chance to explore new business ideas and discuss opportunities with the XSYS experts at the show.
