Job Summary:

In your role as Product Regulatory Specialist, you will support the Product Regulatory Department with ensuring product compliance with all product regulations applicable in the countries XSYS products are sold into. This role will have a keen eye for detail and forecasting potential impacts of changes around the world as they relate to the work of XSYS. Your critical work will focus on the impacts of regulatory changes specific to the US, but may at times require a broader scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and document regulatory information from the supply chain
  • Evaluate product data and information on product related legislation (with a focus on, but not limited to US regulations)
  • Create and share impact assessments for XSYS products with relevant parties
  • Derive and implement suitable measures internally and towards customers and authorities
  • Create safety data sheets for chemical products
  • Respond to product-regulatory related customer inquiries
  • Further develop and adapt existing processes and/or create new processes and procedures as required to ensure product compliance
  • Support the R&D teams in the product development process with regard to product regulatory aspects
  • Monitor the development of substance classifications and regulatory developments in relation to existing chemical inventories such as TSCA and REACH as well as new inventories and legislation
  • Register and/or notify of chemical substances and products in accordance with the respective chemical legislation
  • Assess raw materials and issue approval in the qualification process of raw materials within the company
  • Support the company’s sustainability programs and initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or related field
  • 5+ Years professional experience in a product regulation and/or product safety role
  • Digital affine with sound knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, EH&S software tools and/or other relevant software tools for product safety
  • Technical knowledge of printing plates preferred
  • Open-minded with ability to troubleshoot and think through complex problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills with ability to form trust among parties with which you communicate
  • Passion for technology & a desire to learn new things
  • Strong commitment to service and to tackling issues hands-on
  • Motivated to work with high level of accuracy and reliability
  • English Fluency Required – additional languages are helpful, but not required
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally – within the US and overseas.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
